Q: What are your payment policies?
A: We prefer to be paid upon satisfactory completion of job.
If you have any other questions or a unique situation, we would
prefer to discuss your options with you before starting work.
Q: Do you accept credit cards?
A: Yes we do. We accept all major credit cards along with PayPal
as well as checks, money orders and of course cash.
Q: Do you wash mobile homes?
A: Yes, we provide cleaning services for all types of mobile
homes.
Q: What types of homes do you wash, mine
is stucco.
A: We clean all type of surfaces' of homes. Vinyl, aluminum,
wood, brick, stucco, block, just about any surface really. The
techniques vary, but the end result is always the same. A clean
looking appearance.
Q: Does brick really need to be cleaned?
A: Yes, brick gets dirty too. Dirt, grime and mold left on brick
can decay the mortar joints and bricks. I would encourage you
to seek out our Education Page for further in depth details
regarding the cleaning of brick surfaces.
Q: Do you use any chemicals that could harm
my plants or pets?
A: No, we use only environmentally safe products. The detergents
we utilize are mild soaps and solutions that are diluted and
specifically formulated for each type of project and medium.
These coupled with hot water applications when necessary ensure
a very clean home that pose no risk to plants, pets or humans.
Q: Do you charge for estimates?
A: No, all our estimates and consultations are free.
Q: Do you provide deck repair?
A: No, we do not physically repair decks or fences. We do provide
service to appropriately clean and seal them for protection.
We would recommend seeking a professional builder to achieve
repairs and to have repairs made prior to our arrival to clean.
This means replacing or securing boards, replacing railings,
steps, etc. This ensures to provide an even cleaning and/or
sealing job to give a uniform look.
Q: Do you stain decks?
A: Currently we are not particularly staining decks. We can
apply a sealer with tint, but not specifically are we staining
with actual staining products.
Q: Do you use only high pressure when cleaning?
A: Absolutely not. Every job is different and has certain criteria
that may call for either high or low pressures. We provide this
expertise in this area and decide upon looking at each job individually
what dictates high and low pressures. Wood for instance does
not generally call for high pressure. How much pressure is recommended
is what we will determine to ensure a quality, professional
look when finished.
Q: What is your referral policy?
A: Please see our referral program page.
Q: Do you clean boats and campers?
A: Yes, we provide cleaning service to those items. We also
can travel to various locations for on-site cleaning of campers
that are fixed on a permanent site or where a boat is stored.
Q: My boat is docked in the water, can you
still clean my boat?
A: We have the capabilities to provide this service, however,
it does depend on availability and distance involved in regards
to how far the boat is away from our pressure washer. We also
would have to acquire permission from harbor master or marina
before doing so. The hull would not be washed while boat is
docked in the water for obvious reasons. We clean from the rub-rail
up excluding carpets.
Q: Do you steam clean heavy equipment and
trailers?
A: Yes, we have the capabilities to steam clean basically anything
that is applicable. We use a commercial HOT water pressure washer
to achieve the results we get.
Q: Do you wash during winter months?
A: Yes, we can wash certain items during winter months. Unfortunately,
we are at the mercy of the weather, therefore this dictates
somewhat what we do and when we do it. Ultimately, you don't
want to wash anything outside that may freeze up after doing
so.
Q: Do you seal concrete?
A: Yes we do. We recommend a thorough cleaning before hand and
a careful eye on the weather.
Q: I have patio furniture, do you clean
that?
A: Yes, we clean patio furniture. We've done the plastic vinyl
type as well as wood along with picnic tables and umbrellas.
Q: What will happen if I seal my deck before
having it properly cleaned?
A: Basically, you will be wasting your money. The fact is, if
you don't have all the mold, mildew and dirt removed first,
you're simply sealing in all that crud. And, you won't get a
good seal coat on your deck that will repel the water like it
was intended. Ideally, you want to fully clean the deck, stay
off of it and let it dry for approx. 24-48 hours, then go back
and have it sealed completely. To do otherwise is like throwing
money down the drain.
Q: What does the mold on my wood deck mean?
A: It means it's time to have it cleaned and re-sealed. Mold
is formed from moisture. Mold feeds on things organic like wood.
In order to combat this problem, the wood needs to be sealed
so the moisture can't get at the wood and do damage. Mold will
spread, and if let go long enough, will begin to form into decay
fungi which deteriorate the strength and integrity of the wood.
Surface mold is not detrimental, but does need attention. Properly
cleaning and sealing a wood deck is best if performed yearly.
Q: Can you save us time in stripping old
paint from my wood structure?
A: Absolutely! Using our equipment we can strip wood of old
loose paint in less than half the time it takes someone to scrape
it by hand. However, sometimes old paint that has not lost its
integrity in some areas will remain on the structure. To remove
it all completely will result in some sanding from the owner
to smooth the wood due to "furring." We prefer to remove only
the loose paint that isn't going to stick. This allows us to
not harm the surface leaving the owner to apply primer or paint
immediately after surface has thoroughly dried.
Q: What if damage occurs while you're washing
my home or business?
A: While we take extra precautions to prevent this from happening,
it does rarely occur. No matter, Soluble Solutions is fully
insured and assumes full responsibility for actions resulting
in any damage. If there are any potential hazards or risk of
anything happening, we make a regular practice of discussing
the possibilities with you first before we start working. An
example of this would be where we notice a particularly rotted
board and suspect that any disturbance of it will result in
further damage. We would discuss with you your options and how
to proceed.
Q: Do I have to be present while your company
is working on my job?
A: No, we do not require anyone present at the time the work
is being performed. As long as the payment arrangement has been
worked out and the work to be done is clearly defined ahead
of time there is no need for you to be there if you have other
commitments that dictate not being on site.
Q: Do you have references?
A: Yes we're happy to say. We have many satisfied customers
and lots of references available upon request.
Q: I want to give your service as a gift
to someone. Can I do that?
A: Yes, we have gift certificates available. We work with you
as best we can if this should be a surprise in regards to providing
estimates, etc.
Q: Are you involved in any community projects,
organizations or fund raisers?
A: We try to be as involved in surrounding communities as much
as we can. We are a young company and can not afford some of
the luxuries that other larger companies can. However, we try
to do as much as financially possible. In the past we have been
involved in silent auctions to benefit private citizens health
needs. We have volunteered our services to the Ashland Fire
Department's Firefighters First team in which we cleaned up
the concrete around their new "fire station" at the Ashland
County Fairgrounds after its completion. We are a member of
the Ashland Area Chamber of Commerce where we currently are
serving on the Safety Council. In the future we would like to
sponsor some youth teams for baseball and soccer as well.
Q: The cleaning I need done at my place
of business requires being done "after hours," is that a problem?
A: No, in fact at times we would prefer it. Working around vehicles,
personnel and machinery can hinder the process at times. We
understand that sometimes circumstances dictate that we work
while everyone else is gone, machinery shut down, etc. This
poses no problem for us. With the right planning, we nearly
can accommodate anyone with specific needs. We have always prided
ourselves on being as congenial as possible. Our goal is that
you do not suffer any interruptions or loss of time in order
for us to perform the necessary work. Each situation will be
discussed and agreed upon prior to working.
Q: What counties do you work in?
A: Currently, we will be serving Ashland, Richland, Wayne, Knox
and Medina counties. However, if there is a need or desire,
we are willing to go outside of our regular coverage area.
Q: Can you clean farm equipment?
A: Yes we can. Actually there are a lot of applications where
power washing could help out around the farm. Farm equipment
and combines in particular are prone to fires due to the dry
nature and chaff from fall crops. When these particles plug
up air intakes, the machinery tends to over-heat resulting in
fires, costing farmers and insurance companies thousands of
dollars each year. We also can clean barnyards, stalls, livestock
trailers, outbuildings, just about anything that would need
cleaning.
Q: What is your customer appreciation policy?
A: That is a program that started right from the beginning.
We guarantee that we will perform a repeat cleaning on the same
items or property that was cleaned the year before, as long
as the work is scheduled by May 1st of the following year, with
no additional costs due to inflation. The price will always
remain the same and never go up in fees. It's as though you
can lock in your rate so to speak. Just because everything else
seems to go up, it doesn't mean that your yearly scheduled power
washing job has to.
Q: Where do you get the water you use for
each job?
A: We can use the water we carry on-board, but this is mainly
used for smaller mobile or remote jobs. Usually we get the water
from the site that we are cleaning. We found that water used
for such purposes cost as little as less than half of one penny
per gallon. This allows us to alleviate the trailer aspect which
allows for much better maneuverability and safety. Some other
power washers market themselves as hauling their own water,
but may bury the cost of doing this in the over-all price as
well as state themselves as self-contained power washers. We
know that we are using water that is clean and not left stored
when we utilize a water source found on site, and you the customer
is charged for what is only used, not hauled in and left over.
Q: I have property that I would liked cleaned,
however there is no water source available. Is this a problem?
A: No. We have the capabilities to haul in as much water as
needed. However, we do charge for this, but you will know ahead
of time what the charge is. We don't try to hide or bury anything
in our cost.
